Since being admitted in 2003, Deborah has practiced in Melbourne and in regional Victoria, advising small business on leases, franchise agreements, contracts, structures, intellectual property and litigation. She also spent many years working in house as a corporate lawyer for Village Roadshow Limited, supporting the business with their operations at Village Cinemas Australia, Intencity, Sea World Resort and Theme Park, and Movie World and working with Amalgamated Holdings Limited, Westfields and the Austereo Network.
With a strong commitment to North East Victoria and the Murray Riverina regions, Deborah is active in the community and in promoting collaboration between regional businesses and service providers. She has a strong interest in the hospitality and tourism industries, and has participated in the regions’ ”farm gate to plate” workshops, recognising the contribution that these industries make to regional development.
Deborah has served on the Lake Mountain Alpine Resort Statutory Board and a number of not for profit entities and is interested in corporate governance. She is a currently on the board of the Murray Conservatorium, and is a member of the AICD. She has a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance, a Graduate Certificate in Leadership and skills in facilitation and enjoys using these skills to work with businesses and boards to enhance their operations.
