Bridget is an Associate in our Family Law team.

Experience

Background

Bridget’s experience includes:

  1. Proceedings in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia including:
  • Contested parenting and property proceedings, including matters involving allegations of risk, family violence, neurodivergent children, and the division of farming land and agribusiness assets.
  • Urgent recovery order proceedings, including matters where children are being withheld and there are immediate concerns for their safety.
  1. Complex property settlements involving companies, trusts, and superannuation interests, with an emphasis on securing commercially sensible resolutions through private mediation.
  2. Contested Family Violence Intervention Order matters in the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria, including matters involving concurrent proceedings in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.

Bridget commenced her legal career in 2019 with a prominent law firm in regional Victoria, undertaking this role alongside her tertiary studies. Bridget initially supported the Corporate & Commercial Department as a clerical assistant, before completing her graduate year with the firm. Bridget was admitted to practice in September 2023.

During her graduate year, Bridget developed a particular interest in the intersections between family law and commercial law.

Prior to joining MDW in March 2026, Bridget practised exclusively in family law following her admission, including two years at Victoria’s largest specialised boutique family law practice.

Qualifications

Bridget graduated from Deakin University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce (with Distinction), majoring in Accounting.

Bridget is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria, Victorian Women’s Lawyers and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.
