Experience

Background

Ed has a growing experience negotiating and advising in film & television development, financing and production. He provides legal services to producers, production companies & other members of the film & television industry, including in relation to:

  • chain of title documentation, 
  • distribution, 
  • licensing, 
  • and a wide range of talent agreements.

Ed specialises in providing legal clearance advice at all stages of film and television production, including in relation to copyright and defamation.

Ed values personability and working together with our clients to put their projects into motion. 

Ed has assisted on a wide range of feature film, television and documentary projects including Last King of the Cross (Paramount+, 2023), The Portable Door (Stan, 2023), Strife (Foxtel, 2023), Wolf Like Me Season 2 (Stan, 2023), Black Snow (Stan, 2023), Of An Age (2022), and The Defenders (Prime, 2023).

In May 2023, Ed attended and represented the firm, along with Senior Associate Odilla O’Boyle, at the Screen Producers Australia ‘Screen Forever’ conference.

Ed Joined us in 2021 as a Law Clerk, working throughout his law degree. Since graduating, he continued on with the firm as a law graduate. 

In 2022, Ed completed his Bachelor of Laws (Hons) with First Class Honours at Monash University as well as a Bachelor of Arts, where he majored in Theatre & Performance and minored in Film & Television.

Ed was admitted to practice in September 2023.
