Guy is a Lawyer practicing in our Entertainment Law team. Having completed a diploma at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts prior to university study, Guy’s passion for the arts led him to pursue a career in the Entertainment industry.
Experience
Background
Guy has a growing experience, having worked across both scripted and unscripted projects, including assisting with tasks such as;
- Clearance reports
- Copyright and defamation opinions
- Preparing and reviewing Chain of Title documentation
- Contract drafting (e.g. licence agreements, production services agreements, production packages, composer agreements, deeds of variation, etc.)
- Legal research and advice; and
- a wide range of talent agreements.
Guy commenced working as a Clerk with the media team in September 2024. He continued with the firm as a law graduate from January 2025 and was admitted to practice later that year.
Guy has assisted the delivery of production legal services to studios and independent production companies on several feature films and television series and has a keen interest in intellectual property and defamation.
