Experience
Background
Olivia has a growing experience negotiating and advising in film & television development, financing and production, including in relation to:
- clearance reports;
- chain of title documentation;
- distribution,
- licensing,
- legal research and advice; and
- a wide range of talent agreements.
Olivia also has a keen interest in the close of financing of projects as well as clearance advice regarding copyright and defamation.
She has worked on a wide range of television projects, including titles such as ‘The Newsreader Season 3’ and ‘Surviving Summer Season 2’.
After completing several clerkships with MDW over the past two years, Olivia joined the firm in a permanent role with the Entertainment Team, in late May 2024.
In 2023, Olivia completed her Bachelor of Laws as well as a Bachelor of Arts, where she majored in Literature and minored in Sociology – receiving several Executive Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence throughout her studies.
Prior to joining MDW, Olivia worked for a multi-award winning production company, Werner Film Productions, assisting with the legal affairs on their large slate of projects.
