Nicolina is a Principal in the Litigation + Dispute Resolution team.
Experience
Background
Her extensive litigation experience spans commercial, property, employment and estate and guardianship matters in all state and Federal Courts, plus, Fair Work Commission, Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), NCAT and more recently the OAIC. Nicolina appears across all these jurisdictions and has a commercial approach to resolving disputes in all jurisdictions.
Nicolina’s areas of expertise and experience include:
- Employment/labour law – disputes, unfair dismissals, discrimination claims, workplace bullying, claims to Fair Work , drafting employment agreements and workplace policies
- Property disputes
- Debt/monetary disputes
- Partnership disputes
- Property & commercial disputes in all jurisdictions
- Shareholder disputes
Nicolina’s keen interest in AFL grass roots football saw her appointed as the first female board member to the Board of the Northern Football Netball League in early 2012. She is also a member of the Law Institute of Victoria’s Litigation Lawyers – Alternate Dispute Resolution Committee where she applies her considerable legal skills to working towards improvement and change to alternate dispute resolution policy for Victorian lawyers. Nicolina was appointed as a Ministerial Member of the Firearms Appeals Committee (Victoria) in 2016.
