mdw off to the Sydney Film Festival! June 10, 2022

Two members of our entertainment law team are thrilled to be in attendance at the Sydney Film Festival this week for the premieres of projects on which they not only contributed production legal services but also acted as executive producers.

Senior Associate, Clement Dunn, will be at the Australian premiere of ‘Sissy’ – a horror-thriller film exploring the darker side of social media’s influencer culture starring Aisha Dee.

Associate, Odilla O’Boyle, will be joining some of the hottest Australian bands in the audience of the world premiere of ‘6 Festivals’ – an uplifting tribute to the power of friendship and live music.

mdw was also pleased to provide production legal services to two exciting Causeway Films projects which will have their Australian premiere at the festival: ‘Blaze’ – the feature film debut of renowned Australian artist Del Kathryn Barton; and ‘You Won’t Be Alone’ – the compelling debut from director Goran Stolevski which mesmerised audiences at its world premiere at Sundance 2022.
