The Melbourne law firm celebrates excellence with its latest round of promotions
marshalls+dent+wilmoth has announced four lawyer promotions, effective from 1 July 2024. The promotions recognise outstanding skills, steadfast service, and ongoing growth.
has been promoted to Principal. As a corporate and commercial lawyer, Alex has niche expertise in the FMCG and Food & Beverage space. She is also skilled in strategy and transformation, commercial contracting, intellectual property protection, consumer law, and media and advertising law.
“Alex’s skills are valuable across various industries, especially in the FMCG and Food & Beverage space,” said MDW Principal Jeffrey Pinch. “She is indispensable to our clients, and her mentorship within our commercial legal team adds strength and consistency to our services. We’re delighted to welcome her promotion to principal.”
Joanna Taylor has been promoted to Senior Associate as a family lawyer. After working in a suburban legal practice, she is now a key member of MDW’s family law team. Her experience includes complex financial matters, parenting arrangements (including relocation), and family violence intervention orders.
“Joanna has a reputation for providing calm guidance during some of the most difficult times in her clients’ lives. Her hard work and dedication are unparalleled,” said MDW Principal John McBride. “It’s a well-deserved promotion.”
Joseph Anker has been promoted to Associate. He works in will disputes, estate planning, estate administration, litigation and dispute resolution.
“Joseph’s financial expertise in tax, superannuation and trust issues is an outstanding asset to his estate administration clients. It’s an essential part of MDW’s wills and estate services,” said MDW Principal Anthony Desiderio.
Finally, Madeline Wyre has been promoted to Associate. As a member of MDW’s corporate and commercial team, Madeline’s experience lies in intellectual property, consumer law, dispute resolution and litigation.
“Recent demand for legal advice in consumer and IP law has increased significantly. Madeline’s knowledge and adaptability are key to our services in these areas,” said Pinch.
